Everyone is talking about the 'cloud' - but what is it?

The 'Cloud' has been around in in various forms for many years but now with improvements in web technologies, there is an exponential push to build ever increasingly complex cloud systems.

In simple terms, cloud computing means storing data and using web site based programs on the Internet instead programs or apps which are installed your computer.

→  No need to backup as your data is always stored away from your home so it cant be stolen, burnt, dropped, corrupted etc
→  Its available from all your devices and even from other devices it accessible
→  You can use the cloud as a back-up for the data stored on your computer
→  Systems traditionally requiring massively expensive servers and a legion of super technical staff or contractors to maintain it and fix it once it goes bad are no longer required.
